Chesterfield College is an outstanding place to work and has superb staff benefits including a voucher discount scheme, cycle to work, healthcare plan and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, forward thinking lecturer to join our Fabrication and Welding team within the Engineering department here at Chesterfield College.

Applicants should hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding (Ability to deliver other engineering-based topics would be an advantage), have an industry background and varied experience in the engineering sector. The successful applicant will be required to deliver both workshop and theory sessions up to level 3 for both full time learners and apprentices.

We deliver across multiple areas within the engineering sector, mechanical, maintenance, fabrication & welding electrical/electronic and design, using a range of awarding organisations and we are looking to expand our curriculum offer to meet industry needs both locally and nationally.

Teaching experience/possession of a teaching qualification and assessor award would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to the correct applicant. It is our vision for this new member of the team to enhance our current delivery and contribute towards developing a curriculum that meets the needs of our local employers.

If you think that you have the qualities, skills and aspirational attitudes to join the Engineering team we look forward to hearing from you.
